Grêmio will be without Amuzu for their Sul-Americana meeting with Palestino. According to Globo.com, the forward is not travelling to Chile.
A heavy challenge to his right ankle in Sunday’s win over Coritiba led to defender Jacy being sent off at 52 minutes of the second half.
As alternatives, Luís Castro has Tetê or could move Gabriel Mec to the left wing with an extra midfielder added.
Amuzu will be reassessed for Saturday’s Brasileirão match against Athletico-PR. Grêmio will remain in Santiago for one more day, then head straight to Curitiba.
Midfielder Juan Nardoni is also unavailable, serving a suspension after being sent off against Deportivo Riestra in the previous round.
Grêmio could be boosted by Willian, who has been training normally after treatment for tendinopathy in his right hamstring. His last outing was the defeat to Vasco at São Januário on 22 March.
Carlos Vinicius and Viery, suspended by third yellow cards for the Brasileirão fixture, are expected to be used in the Sul-Americana.
Probable XI: Weverton; Pavon, Gustavo Martins, Viery and Pedro Gabriel; Leonel Pérez, Arthur and Gabriel Mec; Tetê, Enamorado and Carlos Vinícius.
Palestino and Grêmio meet on Wednesday from 21:30 in the third round of the group stage. Grêmio are second in Group F on 3 points, behind Torque City on 6, with Deportivo Riestra and Palestino on one each.
