Dejphon Chansiri's time at Sheffield Wednesday is at an end with the club now in administration
Henrik Pedersen has given his reaction to Dejphon Chansiri’s reign as Sheffield Wednesday owner coming to an end.
The Owls went into administration earlier this week, which led to the appointment of Begbies Traynor, who will now oversee the sale of the Championship side.
The Yorkshire outfit have also been handed a 12-point deduction penalty by the EFL due to going into administration.
Chansiri had become a massively unpopular figure at Hillsborough, with significant financial issues plaguing the club over the last year.
Supporters held multiple protests at the start of the season, urging the Thai businessman to sell his stake in the team, but a reported £100 million asking price prevented any deal from being done despite several names being linked with a takeover.

Pedersen has acknowledged that Sheffield Wednesday are still in a difficult situation despite Chansiri’s reign coming to an end.
But he has made it clear that everyone at the club is optimistic about the future, and that there's a belief that a bright future is ahead.
“Of course there is still a situation where we don’t know what happens,” said Pedersen, via The Star.
“There is uncertainty, but we know he’s [Chansiri] gone, and we know there is hope and belief for the future.
“But it is still a difficult situation for everyone because there is uncertainty for the future.
“But we all have a big belief and a big hope that the future will be really, really bright for Sheffield Wednesday again, and for this we will work every day together: players, staff, coaches, everyone.
“With this group of humans in Sheffield Wednesday, I have a big confidence in this.”
Sheffield Wednesday’s administrators reportedly already ripped out seats in Hillsborough that spelled out Chansiri's name in order to draw a line in the sand on his time as owner.
It's understood that a number of parties have already made contact over a potential takeover, with a deal expected to take four to six weeks to be finalised.
It's also been claimed that it will take another four to six weeks to ratify any takeover agreement, giving supporters a rough timeline for when the road to recovery can begin for Pedersen’s side.
Sheffield Wednesday are bottom of the Championship table, with minus six points to their name due to this deduction, with their next game coming on 1 November away to West Brom.

Sheffield Wednesday have endured a tumultuous 2025, and administration is the real low point of this entire saga.
But it does now mean that there is light at the end of the tunnel, with Chansiri’s time at the club now at an end.
The administrators will be looking for a buyer, and there should be no shortage of options to take over in place of Chansiri.
Pedersen’s comments show the kind of relief that will be felt behind the scenes knowing that there is light at the end of the tunnel, as the lack of finances will have had a major impact on the lesser-celebrated staff of the club, who will be looking forward to more stability under the ownership of someone else.
