Liam Rosenior has spoken about the owners coming into the dressing room after matches, and revealed he encourages them to keep doing so.

Since the Blues were taken over in 2022, it’s been a regular occurrence to see the ownership and sporting directors going to the dressing room after matches.

It’s believed this was one of the things previous head coach Enzo Maresca didn’t like, and whether it’s common place at other clubs is unclear.

Previous owner Roman Abramovich would usually only go to the dressing room if there was bad news to deliver or he was unhappy with what was going on.

Things are very different under the Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital ownership, and Rosenior has opened up on the owners coming in the dressing room.

The Chelsea hierarchy regularly go in the dressing room after games.

“They have done every time I had a game at Strasbourg home or away, they were in the dressing room,” he said as quoted by Mail Sport.

“It’s nothing to do with a debrief. It’s to give confidence, it’s to talk, it’s to collaborate, it’s to think together.

“They were in there (after Arsenal) and I encourage them to keep coming in.”

Obviously the owners are entitled to do what they wish, but constant visits to the dressing room is something which could potentially cause issues down the line.

Chelsea face huge game against Brentford

Whilst Rosenior encourages dressing room visits, his task is getting results on the pitch, and the Blues face a huge game against Brentford on Saturday afternoon.

There’s a planned protest against the ownership due to take place before the game, and Chelsea desperately need three points.

The Blues sit eighth two points behind Brentford in fifth, and need the three points to keep their Champions League qualification hopes on track.

Chelsea are currently on a run of one win in their last nine in the league, and Rosenior really needs to correct the current poor form.
