Joao Gomes left out as Wolves take on Burnley | OneFootball

Wolves made one change as they took on Burnley on the final day, with Joao Gomes left out of the squad.

As reported by ExpressAndStar.com, Rob Edwards altered the XI from the draw with Fulham, bringing in Angel Gomes for J.Gomes in midfield.

The Brazilian is likely to join Atletico Madrid when the transfer window opens, with negotiations between the clubs ongoing.

Jean-Ricner Bellegarde was also absent, and Edwards named two youngsters and four full-backs on a notably light bench. Academy defender Ethan Sutherland was included along with 16-year-old midfielder Jerome Abbey.

Abbey, a Thomas Telford School pupil, was first on the bench in February against Bournemouth at Molineux.
