Inter Miami returns to the Supporters’ Shield race after beating the Seattle Sounders by a score of 3-1. An encounter that showed a more mature Javier Mascherano, who learned from his mistakes against Charlotte FC.

Overall, the Herons’ performance was more than just great; it was impeccable. However, like every football match, some players had a better outcome than others.

The current state of Inter Miami could help soften Lionel Messi’s heart and sign his contract renewal with the squad earlier than expected.

Despite every fan's wish, we must make a special mention of a player who absolutely smashed the match against the Sounders and was even praised by a teammate.

Jordi Alba is full of praise for Yannick Bright

That’s right, the former FC Barcelona and Spanish legend had anything but positive comments about his teammate. Many of them are true.

Yannick Bright arrived at Inter Miami through the MLS SuperDraft. Coming straight out of college and facing footballers who are already professionals in the sport can be overwhelming for someone who isn’t prepared.

However, that wasn’t the case for Bright. It’s true. He had plenty of games where his performance wasn’t the best, but he had more games where he was crucial.

At the beginning, and like every new player on a roster, he wasn’t getting any valuable minutes. Nevertheless, the departure of Diego Gomez to Brighton opened a window of opportunity for Bright, and he made the most out of them.

Adding that the signing of Javier Mascherano, the Italian player became one of the starting midfielders, placing him ahead of players like Federico Redondo and Benjamin Cremaschi, valuable players for Tata Martino.

He is the silent man behind the success of Inter Miami, and Jordi Alba is aware of this. At the after-match press conference, the Spanish player said: “He covers a lot of ground, he helps us a lot defensively. Offensively, he has learned a lot over the two years I’ve been with him.”

And we saw these same words being proved, as Yannick Bright recovered two essential balls, which ended in two of the three goals the Herons scored that night.
