Leeds United name USA tour squad, four missing as Noah Okafor given extra break | OneFootball

Leeds United have named their squad for a pre-season tour of the USA, with four senior players omitted from the travelling party.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Noah Okafor has been granted an extended break after featuring in Switzerland's run to the World Cup quarter-finals, so he is not included.

Largie Ramazani, Joe Gelhardt, Max Wober and Jack Harrison are also absent. Ramazani spent last season on loan at Valencia, while Gelhardt helped Hull City win promotion. Wober had an injury-hit spell at Werder Bremen, and Harrison joined Fiorentina on loan in January.

Daniel Farke's group will be based at Red Bull's new training facility in Morristown, New Jersey, and will fly to Tampa and Chicago for matches against Wrexham and Liverpool, with Sunderland also on the schedule. The club have again partnered with the promoter behind last summer's Aviva Stadium friendly with AC Milan.

The touring party blends senior players with Under-21 prospects and others due to link up later after World Cup duty. The club have also noted that pre-season shirt numbers may change before the Premier League campaign begins.
