Liverpool have a lot of making up to do with their fans next season.
The Anfield outfit failed to meet expectations which led to Arne Slot being relieved of his duties.
The fact that the Reds only just earned qualification to the Champions League after spending over £450 million is a travesty and, if we're being honest, it wouldn't be a surprise to see another massive overhaul occur this summer.
Liverpool need to sign several players this summer but, since they're a sell-to-buy club, some members of their first-team squad will need to be moved on.
This is why many players have already been linked with an exit despite the summer window not even being open yet.
However, a fresh update has just been shared on one of the Reds' stalwart amid the recent interest shown in him.
Alisson has long been linked with a move to Juventus.
The Brazilian is one of Liverpool's most injury prone players with the 'keeper missing out on almost half of their games this term.
Despite this, he's still a much better goalkeeper than Giorgi Mamardashvili when fit and without him in the games he played, the Reds would've probably been much worse off than they ended up.
His contract was set to expire at the end of the 2025-26 season but, after Liverpool chose to exercise their option to extend, he remained contracted which meant that Juventus would've had to pay a fee to sign him.
And, even though terms may have been agreed between both Alisson and the Serie A outfit, ESPN Brazil have now shared that the 'keeper is going to reject the Old Lady and stay at Anfield for at least one more season.
"Sought after by Juventus, goalkeeper Alisson Becker has made his decision regarding his future and will remain at Liverpool," they wrote.
"According to ESPN , the Brazilian national team goalkeeper will fulfill his contract, which is valid until mid-2027, with the English club.
"The report also found that the Brazilian's stay in the Reds squad has no relation whatsoever to the dismissal of coach Arne Slot, last Saturday (30).
"This is because talks between the parties for the goalkeeper's continuity at Anfield began even before the coach was dismissed."
Last summer proved that an entire overhaul of a playing squad doesn't always work out.
Although this is something that most Football Manager players end up doing but, in real life, relationships, playing styles and comradery all weigh heavily on the performances of footballers.
And, since Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konate are all already leaving L4, the less players that leave now will make the transition period much smoother.
As much as Mamardashvili would probably like the chance to prove his worth, Alisson's experience and leadership would be massively missed by Liverpool if he chose to exit.
Of course, they'd still have Virgil van Dijk but now that he's 33 years old, his time as a Premier League footballer could be coming to an end soon which is why a leadership group is so important.
Alisson is often injured and could end up missing a decent chunk of the campaign but, when fit, he can be a massive help to Van Dijk and help guide the youngsters to the best of his ability.
And, since the Brazilian only has a year left on his current contract, he'd have probably been sold for pennies which makes no sense, especially since he's have to be replaced.
Here's hoping that, when Andoni Iraola is appointed as manager, more players join than leave Liverpool this summer.
