Manuel Neuer expects to be back in goal when Bayern face Wolfsburg in their first competitive match of 2026.
The 39-year-old missed Bayern’s final game of 2025 against Heidenheim with a muscle injury.

According to DPA, he told supporters at a Sunday fan event that he had joined parts of training and anticipated playing in the next home fixture against Wolfsburg.
Neuer also discussed his contract situation, saying he is optimistic about extending beyond this summer but wants to see how the next few months develop.
He is expected to make a final decision on his future by the end of March or in early April.
