Martim Fernandes protected, Tiago Silva called up by Farioli for Porto’s Aves trip | OneFootball

Martim Fernandes has reappeared on Porto’s medical report as he continues to clear a right ankle issue, with no cause for concern. According to O Jogo, the champions completed preparations for the penultimate round away to Aves SAD with that update.

The right back is undergoing treatment and conditioned work after hurting the ankle in the first meeting with Nottingham Forest in early April.

He has already returned to action and would be available if required, but with the title secured there is no need to take that option. He is being protected to fully shake off the sprain and feel 100% comfortable, with pre-season in mind.

B-team midfielder Tiago Silva trained again and has been called up by Francesco Farioli for the visit to the league’s bottom side.

Samu, Luuk de Jong, who is on treatment and gym work, Nehuén Pérez, on integrated but conditioned training, and André Miranda, on conditioned training, also feature on the medical list.
