Newcastle land highly-rated winger Bazoumana Toure

Newcastle United have completed the signing of highly-rated winger Bazoumana Touré from Hoffenheim in a deal worth a reported £43 million.

The 20-year-old Ivory Coast international arrives at St James' Park as Eddie Howe continues to strengthen his squad ahead of the new season. Toure is expected to help fill the void left by Anthony Gordon following the England international's move to Barcelona earlier this summer.

The transfer caps a remarkable rise for the young forward, who only joined Swedish club Hammarby in 2024 before earning a move to Hoffenheim a year later. After just 18 months in the Bundesliga, his impressive performances have secured a switch to the Premier League.

Toure becomes Newcastle's second signing of the summer after the arrival of goalkeeper Ewen Jaouen from Reims.
