The LFP disciplinary commission has handed Lyon left-back Nicolas Tagliafico a three-match ban after his red card in the 2-1 defeat to Monaco on Sunday.

According to L'Équipe, the decision was delivered on Wednesday evening. Tagliafico was dismissed in the 89th minute by François Letexier for a dangerous tackle on Lamine Camara near the centre circle.

The Argentina international, 33, had already seen red against Celta Vigo three days earlier, making it his second dismissal in a week.

He will now miss Lyon's upcoming matches against Angers, Lorient and PSG.

Jorge Maciel, assistant to Paulo Fonseca, received a one-match suspension from the touchline, the referees' dressing room and all official functions after being sent off for showing a referee images on a phone, which is prohibited.

Sébastien Pocognoli was also given a one-match ban following an altercation with a member of Lyon's staff that resulted in a red card.
