A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has on Monday continued to etch his name into the history books of world football.
The player in question? Lamine Yamal.
Wide-man Lamine is for his part currently in attendance at the Ballon d’Or ceremony, in Paris, France.
The 18-year-old, despite his tender years, is considered one of the outright favourites to secure the ‘Golden Ball’ come the night’s end.
Prior to the best player in world football being announced, though, Lamine has bagged for himself a separate accolade.
The prize in question? The Kopa Trophy.
The Kopa award aims to recognise the best performing player in football under the age of 21.
Lamine was for his part nominated once again in 2025, despite having taken home as much 12 months ago.
And as alluded to above, on Monday evening, the Spanish international has officially made history.
As announced a short time ago, Lamine has become the first player ever to be named Kopa Trophy winner two years in succession.
