Official: FIFPRO unveils its 2025 Team of the Year featuring an African star

It's finally official! FIFPRO has just announced its eleven best players of 2025.

On Monday, FIFPRO revealed the lineup chosen by the votes of 26,000 professional footballers from 68 countries. Among the professionals' selections, we find Gianluigi Donnarumma and Virgil Van Dijk marshalling the backline in a 3-4-3 formation. The other central defenders are Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes, with Vitinha and Palmer deployed as wing-backs.

In midfield, Bellingham and Pedri form the engine room. Up front, Kylian Mbappé is joined by Lamine Yamal and the 2025 Ballon d'Or winner Ousmane Dembélé. This lineup boasts tremendous attacking firepower, though it might lack a bit of balance.
