Opta have issued a fresh predicted final Premier League table that makes a significant Leeds United call after a major West Ham boost.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, West Ham began Game Week 23 in 18th despite last weekend’s 2-1 win at Tottenham, five points behind Nottingham Forest and eight adrift of Leeds.

Playing first on Saturday, the Hammers beat Sunderland 3-1 at home to close to within two of Forest and five of Leeds. Leeds visit Everton on Monday night. Forest travel to Brentford on Sunday at two pm.

In the three pm kick-offs, bottom club Wolves lost 2-0 at Manchester City, and a late Harry Wilson strike gave Fulham a 2-1 home win over Brighton.

Tottenham trailed 2-1 at second-bottom Burnley before Cristian Romero’s late equaliser secured a 2-2 draw. Spurs are 13th, only three points ahead of Daniel Farke’s side, who also have a game in hand.

Opta’s model now projects Arsenal first on 84 points, Manchester City second on 72, Aston Villa third on 71, Liverpool fourth on 64, Chelsea fifth on 59 and Manchester United sixth on 57.
