Osimhen not in Napoli squad for friendly, as PSG move edges closer | OneFootball

Victor Osimhen is again not even on the Napoli bench for today’s friendly with Mantova, despite training regularly, suggesting a move to PSG is imminent.

The striker had struggled with a muscular issue earlier in the week and was left in the stands for the first pre-season match under Antonio Conte.

Although he has been back in training with the rest of his teammates over the last few days, the Nigeria international was again left off the list of players for this afternoon’s game against Mantova.

Osimhen ready for PSG transfer

It is widely reported that Osimhen has already agreed personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain, while the two clubs are discussing how to make the transfer stick for lower than the €130m release clause in his contract.

Once he has been sold, then Napoli can go all in with cash in hand to Chelsea for Conte’s number one target, Romelu Lukaku.

Conte also dropped another transfer hint in his picks today, as Lazio-linked Giovanni Simeone is benched in favour of Walid Cheddira as a False 9.

New signings Rafa Marin and Leonardo Spinazzola also start.
