Queens Park Rangers host Leicester City in the Championship on Saturday, 20 December 2025 at Loftus Road, with eighth facing ninth and both on 31 points as each side eyes the play-off places.
Queens Park Rangers and Leicester City are separated only by goal difference, setting up a tight meeting in west London. Recent head-to-heads have been split, while the FA Cup tie in January went Leicester's way 6-2.
Queens Park Rangers have won three of their last five league games. Foxes form has picked up too, with two wins and a draw from their last three after back-to-back defeats.
Injuries could shape selections. Queens Park Rangers list Illias Chair and Samuel Field among several absentees, alongside Ziyad Larkeche, Harvey Vale and Rayan Kolli. For the visitors, Boubakary Soumaré is out, with defenders Caleb Okoli and Victor Kristiansen also sidelined.
The Foxes tend to see more of the ball, averaging 53% possession with 83.79% pass accuracy, while Queens Park Rangers sit at 47% and 76.22%. Rumarn Burrell is a major threat for the hosts with nine league goals, ranking fifth this season. For the visitors, Abdul Fatawu's six assists underline their supply line from wide areas. Leicester's sharper shooting and crossing accuracy could prove decisive, but Queens Park Rangers' higher shot volume may keep them on the front foot.
A win would lift Queens Park Rangers or the Foxes to 34 points and could move them into the play-off picture, while defeat may leave either side outside the top six heading into the festive run.
