RB Leipzig have signed 20-year-old French centre-back Abdoul Koné from Stade de Reims on a contract running until 2031.
The club said in a statement that he will stay on loan at Reims for the rest of this season in France’s Ligue 2, having beaten strong competition to secure his signing.

Koné is tall and physical, effective in duels and in the air, and shows notable pace over longer distances.
Composed in possession, he enjoys taking part in build-up play, maintains a high intensity, and can also operate on the right of defence.
He is scheduled to join Leipzig in the summer once his loan spell ends.
