São Paulo court approves Corinthians’ Centralised Enforcement Regime plan, allowing creditor payments to start in March. The decision follows the state prosecutor’s endorsement of the revised proposal just over a week earlier.
According to Meu Timao, the 2nd Court of Bankruptcies and Judicial Recoveries confirmed the homologation after the club resubmitted its plan with court ordered changes.
The ruling says Corinthians complied fully with the terms and remedied flaws in the prior version. A document review will now assess financial statements, debt estimates and cash flow projections, alongside a budget control commitment.
Laspro, the court appointed judicial administrator, will conduct this analysis. The judge declined calls for an external audit, saying the cost and delay would not justify postponing payments.
Payments will be drawn from club revenues. Year one allocates 4%, rising to 5% in year two and 6% from year three. The court accepted that the 20% legal benchmark also covers obligations outside the RCE, including the CNRD, taxes and Caixa Econômica Federal.
The plan targets repayment of 60% of the debt within six years, with six monthly oversight and a monthly distribution schedule for listed creditors. Corinthians entered the regime in December 2024 and first filed in February 2025, listing R$ 367 million, with about R$ 190 million now included at the outset.
