Sebastián Córdova could return to América after becoming a free agent | OneFootball

Club América are assessing a possible return for Sebastián Córdova as the squad is due to report in Coapa this week for the Clausura 2026.

According to Americayya.net, the 28-year-old is out of contract after a spell at Tigres. His camp have offered him to Las Águilas and the board are evaluating whether to proceed.

Córdova emerged from América’s academy and was once viewed as a leading Mexican prospect with potential to play in Europe. He was handed the 10 shirt to inspire him, but he never cemented a place.

His time at Tigres brought highs and lows.

Would he add to América? He has clear quality and could still contribute to a side. A short-term deal with an option to extend would allow the club to gauge his adaptation and attitude.
