Inter Milan will have to adjust their tactics and attacking approach in the absence of star striker Lautaro Martinez for Sunday’s clash against AC Milan.
According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, El Toro’s absence tends to derail the Nerazzurri’s firepower.
Lautaro Martinez has been in the pits since the first leg of Inter’s fateful Champions League knockout playoff tie against Bodo/Glimt.
Worryingly, the team’s attacking output has dipped noticeably without the Argentine talisman leading the line.

During Martinez’s absence, the Nerazzurri have scored a measly five goals in five matches across all competitions.
Furthermore, Cristian Chivu oversaw a rare scoring blank in Tuesday’s uneventful 0-0 Coppa Italia draw at Como.
Equally concerning is the fact that four of those five goals came from set-pieces, including a penalty against Genoa last weekend.
Indeed, Federico Dimarco’s volley to open the scoring against the Griffins remains Inter’s only strike from open play since losing El Toro to injury.
With Inter’s goal average dropping to 1.25 per game, Lautaro’s recovery cannot come soon enough.
