Sunderland could face a delicate summer as interest grows in Brian Brobbey and Noah Sadiki, potentially handing Florent Ghisolfi significant calls to make. Both are central to Régis Le Bris’s plans.
According to The Independent, Bayern Munich are monitoring Brobbey ahead of the window after an impressive Premier League debut campaign. The 24-year-old joined from Ajax last summer for around £17million, rising to £21.5million with add-ons, and has six goals in 25 games.
His physical presence, movement and link play have reportedly caught the eye of elite clubs. The Netherlands forward featured at Euro 2024 and is pushing for World Cup selection, which could lift his valuation.
There is no sign Sunderland are willing to sell, though any formal approach would test their model of developing high-potential talent. TEAMtalk reports that Manchester United face competition from Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton for Sadiki. The 21-year-old arrived from Union SG for about £15million and has shone in his first season.
Sadiki’s energy, defensive nous and progression on the ball have underpinned Le Bris’s midfield across 27 league appearances and their push towards the top half. He is on a long-term deal at the Academy of Light. Sunderland could be braced for approaches for both players this summer, leaving Ghisolfi in a pivotal position.
