A report by Football Insider has created a new buzz around East London club West Ham United. The news is that the club is eyeing Frank Lampard amid growing doubts over Graham Potter’s future. The start of the new season of the Premier League at the London Stadium has not been as expected by the board and the fans.
The team has managed to win only one match in three matches and has suffered two defeats. For this reason, the management is looking for a young and energetic manager. Many names have been considered, and ultimately, Lampard has been chosen as a possible option, as per the report.
It is being reported that preliminary talks have taken place between West Ham officials and Lampard. However, the former Chelsea star currently appears to be satisfied with his position at Coventry City as the Championship club has made a lot of progress recently.

This speculation in itself gives rise to a big debate as to whether Frank Lampard can really be the solution to West Ham United’s current difficulties. His former association with the club may attract the crowds, but his previous experiences at Chelsea and Everton have not always been positive.
Graham Potter, on the other hand, is in a more delicate position, but his modus operandi cannot be denied. Potter relies on flexibility, frequently changing formations to confuse the opposition and promoting players who can play in a variety of roles.
Lampard, in contrast, has been more directly focused on attack. He often uses a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 formation, with an emphasis on wide-field pressing and quick attacks. His teams have a flair for passion and hard work, but defensive solidity has often been lacking. Under Potter, the Hammers have created many chances but have been stuck on decisive finishing.
It is also worth noting that West Ham recently turned down the chance to sign Andre Onana and later also tried to add Raheem Sterling in the summer transfer window. In the midst of all this, the discussion about Lampard becomes even more interesting.
The question is whether it is better to leave the job of stabilising the club to a former England player or to give Potter more time to develop his strategy. In our opinion, rushing can be harmful, and for now, giving Potter some more chances may prove to be the better way for West Ham.
