Blackburn Rovers are a proud and historic football club, but where does AI rank them among the UK's biggest?
Blackburn Rovers are truly part of the footballing fabric in the United Kingdom.
Founded all the way back in 1875, Rovers' fingerprints are found throughout the history of the game in this country.
The club were both founding members of the Football League in 1888, and then the Premier League over a century later in 1992.
Countless great players have stepped out at their equally historic Ewood Park stadium, with the likes of Alan Shearer, Brad Friedel, Tugay, Damien Duff, Paul Robinson, David Dunn and so many more having donned their famous blue and white colours.
So, where do they rank among the UK's biggest football clubs?
To find out, we asked AI service ChatGPT to produce a list of the top 60 clubs in the United Kingdom, and the results were very interesting indeed.
Rovers didn't make the top five, with Liverpool taking the crown as the biggest club in the UK according to AI, followed by Manchester United, Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea.
Blackburn weren't able to crack the top 10 either, with Scottish giants Celtic ranking in sixth place, with Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Glasgow's other huge club, Rangers, rounding off the top 10.
They did, however, make the top 15.
Everton placed 11th, with Brighton & Hove Albion and West Ham United just coming in ahead of Blackburn Rovers, who AI believes is the 14th-biggest football club in the UK.
Interestingly, that was higher than the likes of Leeds United (15th), Nottingham Forest (16th), Sunderland (21) and Birmingham City (24th) respectively.
We're sure many Rovers fans will be asking 'where did Burnley rank?'. Well, according to AI, the Clarets are the UK's 33rd biggest football club.
There will always be arguments between supporters of rival clubs over whose is the bigger.
Cases can be made for the likes of Leeds United or Nottingham Forest to be above Blackburn, but in 14th, that feels around where Rovers should be.
Indeed, the club has won the English top flight on three occasions, first in the 1911/12 season, then 1913/14, before perhaps the achievement the club are most well-known for, when they were crowned Premier League champions in 1994/95 - they were also runners-up in 1993/94.
Rovers have also won the FA Cup six times, the most recent of which coming in 1928, and also lifted the League Cup trophy in 2002.
They've even had numerous campaigns in European football, with numerous UEFA Cup (now Europa League) entries as well as a 95/96 season in which they played in the Champions League following their Premier League win.
So, whilst it's true that times have been harder for the club in more recent years, with top flight football last being seen at Ewood Park in 2012, the club remains one of the oldest and most successful in the UK.
As such, AI rightly allows Blackburn Rovers to take their place among the UK's top clubs.
