Newcastle United will clash heads with Brighton and Hove Albion at the American Express Community Stadium on Saturday afternoon as they look to earn a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Magpies managed to secure a solid 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest before the international break, which should give them a lot of confidence ahead of this game.
Eddie Howe will set his men up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to keep changes to a minimum for this game. Hence, Nick Woltemade would once again lead the line for the Tyneside club up top.
Nick Pope will operate in between the sticks for the Magpies after keeping a clean sheet in his last league appearance. Sven Botman will resume his partnership with Malick Thiaw at the centre of the Newcastle backline as they look to keep things solid at the back during the 90 minutes.
Kieran Trippier will function as the right-back, while Dan Burn hopes to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Fabian Schar will offer cover for the centre-back positions on the bench.

Joelinton, Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes will make up Howe’s midfield. Their main focus would be to move the ball well and engineer some clear-cut chances in the opponent’s half.
Joe Willock will have to be content with a place on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if required.
Anthony Gordon will try to make a difference on the left flank, while Anthony Elanga looks to impress on the right flank.
Nick Woltemade will spearhead Howe’s attack up top. He would be eager to get his name on the scoresheet this weekend.
William Osula and Harvey Barnes will be named on the bench as they wait for their chance to influence the game in the final quarter of the game if the Magpies are in need of a goal by then.
Jacob Ramsey is a slight concern ahead of this game as he recovers from his ankle injury.
