Wolves reported a £15.3m loss for 2024/25, though the 13-month period to 30 June shows an annualised £1.5m profit.
According to ExpressAndStar.com, the club extended its reporting by one month to align with other Premier League sides, contracts and football calendar. Previously some players earned different wages in month one because accounts ended in May while contracts ran to June.
Last summer’s sales sent Matheus Cunha to Manchester United for £62.5m and Rayan Ait-Nouri to Manchester City for about £33.5m, rising to £36m.
Including departures, Wolves posted £117m profit on player sales, up from £64.6m in 2023/24. New signings, fresh contracts and a head coach change as Gary O'Neil was sacked and Vitor Pereira appointed lifted amortisation and impairment to £87.8m from £67.2m.
Wolves were forced into January business under Pereira, including Emmanuel Agbadou for £16.6m and Marshall Munetsi for £15m, to avoid relegation. Overall, player trading delivered a £29.2m profit, versus a £2.6m loss a year earlier.
Wolves did not replace Max Kilman after his £40m move to West Ham, while Pedro Neto’s sale to Chelsea for a fee rising to £54m prompted a late loan for Carlos Forbs that had little impact. Those choices have contributed to likely relegation in 2026.
Revenue slipped to £172m from £177.7m as they fell from 14th to 16th and had one fewer UK TV match. Commercial income rose by over £1m, while average attendance dipped to 30,881.
