Zanotti e Vic Albuquerque honoured with personalised shirts and plaques for historic Corinthians milestone | OneFootball

Corinthians honoured Gabi Zanotti and Vic Albuquerque on Friday night, presenting personalised shirts and plaques before facing Red Bull Bragantino at Fazendinha in the sixth round of the Brasileirão Feminino.

According to Meu Timao, club president Osmar Stabile and women’s football director Iris Sesso made the presentation during the Brabas’ warm-up. Zanotti has drawn level with Grazi, who attended the ceremony, as the club’s record appearance-maker on 258, while Vic is on 257 and could match that mark on Friday.

The 41-year-old attacking midfielder will move past Grazi after being named in Emily Lima’s starting line-up, with Vic among the substitutes. The pair also share the club record for titles with 18. Vic leads Corinthians Women’s scoring charts on 123, with Zanotti on 89, and at Neo Química Arena Zanotti has 10 goals to Vic’s nine.

Despite similar appearance totals, their debuts are almost a year apart. Zanotti first featured for Corinthians on 1 April 2018 in a 2-0 win over São José in the Campeonato Paulista. Vic followed on 16 March 2019 in a 4-1 victory against Ponte Preta in the Brasileirão.

Corinthians can climb to second in the table with a win. If they prevail by four or more, they will reach 13 points and overhaul Palmeiras on goal difference.
