Pau Victor was one of the revelations of the pre-season for FC Barcelona last summer under Hansi Flick.
The 23-year-old attacker, signed permanently from Girona after impressing on loan at Barça Atletic, finished the pre-season as the top scorer and looked set for a prominent role in the first-team setup, especially given the lack of a direct backup for Robert Lewandowski.
However, that has not been the case for Victor, as he has struggled for relevance in Flick’s setup.
Now, according to Mundo Deportivo, Pau Victor is no longer a part of Barcelona manager Hansi Flick’s plans moving forward.
When Lewandowski has needed rest, the German coach has preferred to use Ferran Torres in his place or even deployed Dani Olmo as a false-nine by adjusting the team’s tactical setup. As a result, Victor has been left without playing time or opportunities.

The Spanish forward’s lack of involvement has been particularly evident in recent months. After having been de-registered at the end of 2024, he was officially registered ahead of the Spanish Super Cup final on 12 January but has barely featured since.
Victor played 18 minutes in Barcelona’s 5-1 Copa del Rey victory over Real Betis, coming on when the score was already 4-0. He got 19 minutes in the 7-1 thrashing of Valencia in La Liga, entering with the team 5-1 ahead.
The 23-year-old’s only other appearances were brief cameos: a stoppage-time runout against Atalanta (2-2) in the Champions League and another against Alaves (1-0) in La Liga, which remains his last appearance (February 2).
In all, since being re-registered in January, Victor has played just 39 minutes across 16 matches for Barcelona, and none in the last nine.
With Barcelona actively searching for a new forward for the upcoming season, the 23-year-old appears set to be one of the casualties.
Victor had been linked with a departure in January but preferred staying at Barcelona. Whether his stance changes in the summer given his current situation remains to be seen.
