Arokodare hits back at reports of Wolves training halt | OneFootball

Tolu Arokodare has rejected reports he says are inaccurate after claims he forced a Wolves training session to be cancelled, addressing the issue on social media.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, boss Cesar Peixoto halted Monday’s session at Compton Park after Arokodare refused to leave the first-team group.

The 25-year-old was not involved in Wednesday’s 1-0 friendly win at Maidenhead United. He is widely expected to leave Molineux this summer and is believed to prefer a move to Fiorentina after turning down Trabzonspor.

In his post, he said he was surprised and disappointed by the coverage, stressed he has always behaved professionally with high training standards, and that he prepares to contribute whenever selected. He added that he remains under contract at Wolves and intends to train and do his job in line with that agreement.

Arokodare joined from Genk for £24million last summer and scored only three Premier League goals as the club were relegated from the Premier League. In April, he was disciplined after a dressing-room bust-up with team-mate Mateus Mane during a 4-0 defeat at West Ham, in which he was the sole aggressor.
