Tolu Arokodare hits back over halted Wolves training session | OneFootball

Tolu Arokodare has moved to rebut reports surrounding a halted Wolves training session, stressing his commitment to professionalism.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, boss Cesar Peixoto is understood to have stopped Monday’s workout at Compton Park after Arokodare refused to leave the first-team group.

The striker was not included in the squad for Wednesday’s 1-0 friendly win at Maidenhead United.

On social media, he voiced surprise and disappointment at what he called inaccurate coverage, underlined pride in his training standards, and noted he remains under contract with the intention of preparing properly, doing his job and contributing to the team.

The 25-year-old is widely expected to depart Molineux this summer and is believed to prefer a move to Fiorentina after turning down Trabzonspor.

Arokodare joined from Genk for £24 million last summer and scored three Premier League goals as the club were relegated.

In April, he faced disciplinary action after a dressing-room bust-up with team-mate Mateus Mane during a 4-0 defeat at West Ham in which he was the sole aggressor.
