Bernardo Silva’s start in today’s Premier League clash with Liverpool means he now moves to third on the list for all-time Premier League appearances for Manchester City.

The City captain has now made 277 appearances for the Blues, since he moved to the Etihad Stadium in the summer of 2017.

David Silva has featured in the Premier League for City more than any other player, playing 309 times in total.

Bernardo is now just eight appearances away from another Club legend in second place, with Kevin De Bruyne having featured 285 times.

The Portuguese midfielder moved clear of our former goalkeeper Ederson who is now in fourth place after making one appearance more than Sergio Aguero who completes a star-studded top-five.

Bernardo’s first appearance was back in August 2017 in the 2-0 victory over Brighton with his first Etihad appearance for City nine days later in a 1-1 draw against Everton.

During his nine seasons so far, he has netted 43 times as well as claiming 47 assists ahead of today’s game.

And, of course, he has won six Premier League titles during that time, equal with five other City players – De Bruyne, Ederson, Kyle Walker, John Stones and Phil Foden.
