Blues were held to a 0-0 draw by West Midlands rivals West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday, but it is their co-owner who has generated recent headlines.

Birmingham have enjoyed a largely successful time since Brady's investment, as they won last season's League One title and have gone on to establish Championship play-off credentials this term.

Chris Davies' men sit just one point behind sixth-place Wrexham following their goalless draw with West Brom, although the Red Dragons do have a game in hand on them.

Birmingham face Leeds United in the FA Cup this Sunday, and will be keen to show their class against Daniel Farke's Premier League outfit.

Meanwhile, Brady fired a dig at social media star Paul on the Impaulsive podcast while discussing a flag football tournament the pair are competing in next month in Saudi Arabia.

Flag football is a non-contact version of American football, whereby defenders pull a flag attached to the ball carrier's waist, as opposed to tackling them.

Once Paul confirmed his participation in the event, which is set to take place at Riyadh's Kingdom Arena, Brady taunted him, saying: "You know what? I actually am a little worried for you."

Paul replied: "Worried for me?"

The Blues co-owner then said: "Well… You’re a good athlete, but you’re like… No, no no. These guys are another level."

Paul dismissed the claims and brought up his WWE nous as he replied: "I am the highest level. Can any of these guys do a moonsault?"

Brady then continued his criticism, adding: "It’s cute. It’s great, you know I love WWE. It is very cute. But honestly, this is like real football. This is just real competition."

Blues have enjoyed a seven-game unbeaten run in the Championship, which has included victories over automatic promotion contenders Coventry City and Midlands rivals Leicester City.

Beyond their FA Cup clash with Leeds, Davies' side have difficult Championship fixtures against Norwich City, Millwall, and Middlesbrough.

The Lions and Boro are both eyeing places in next season's Premier League, whereas Norwich are on resurgent form under Philippe Clement.

Clement's men previously had serious relegation worries, but an impressive run of five wins in their last six Championship games has steered them seven points clear of the drop zone.

The Canaries are more than capable of causing Birmingham plenty of problems on 21 February.

Blues could then struggle to get the better of play-off candidates Millwall and title challengers Middlesbrough, even though they have successfully avoided defeat since their 3-0 loss to Watford on New Year's Day.

Davies' side will rightly prioritise their Championship top-six bid over their FA Cup run, but a victory over Leeds should give them the confidence they need to kick on and continue their strong form at the business end of the campaign.
