Bookmakers make West Ham narrow favourites for Leeds United’s FA Cup quarter-final, yet the markets still point to the Whites securing Premier League survival.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Daniel Farke’s side have seven league games remaining after the international break. The first match back is the FA Cup tie at the London Stadium on Sunday, 5 April at 4.30pm, before a league trip to Manchester United on the second Monday in April at 8pm.
West Ham sit in the division’s third and final relegation spot, four points behind 15th-placed Leeds. Early prices have the Irons best at 29-20 for the quarter-final, with Leeds 9-5 and the draw 13-5.
To progress, West Ham are 4-5 favourites, while Leeds are evens to reach the semi-finals.
In the relegation market, bookmakers still envisage Leeds staying up and West Ham going down. In what is viewed as a four-way fight to avoid third-bottom, the Irons are third favourites for the drop at 5-4, behind Burnley and Wolves at 1-200.
Spurs’ relegation odds continue to shorten, as short as 5-4 with some firms and as big as 9-5 with others. Forest, fresh from a 3-0 win at Tottenham, are out to 13-2 to go down, with Leeds longer still at a best-priced 8-1.
