Brest host Angers in Ligue 1 at Stade Francis-Le Blé on Sunday, 17 May 2026, with three points between the sides and positions still in play.
Brest sit 12th on 38 points, Angers are 13th with 35. The hosts also won the reverse fixture in September, 2-0 away to Angers, and have the stronger head to head record in recent meetings.
Form is fragile on both sides. Brest are winless in five after defeats by Paris FC, Paris Saint-Germain and Strasbourg, following draws with Nantes and Lens. Angers are also without a win in five, drawing with Strasbourg and Le Havre and losing to Rennes, PSG and Auxerre.
Selection-wise, Brest list Mama Baldé, Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe and Soumaila Coulibaly as injured. Angers have Louis Mouton, Yassin Belkhdim, Harouna Djibirin, Marius Courcoul and Prosper Peter sidelined.
The match-up could hinge on Brest's crossing and aerial threat against Angers' low-scoring but organised defence. Brest have scored 42 league goals, logged a 24.66% cross accuracy and eight headed goals, with Ludovic Ajorque on eight league goals and a league-high nine assists and Romain Del Castillo also on eight. Angers have scored 28 but kept 10 clean sheets, with 82.64% passing accuracy and Hervé Koffi anchoring at the back. Branco Van den Boomen's delivery and Goduine Koyalipou's movement could be their route forward.
A home win would lift Brest to 41 points and they could climb a place or two depending on other results. Victory for Angers would take them to 38 and they may finish above their hosts. A draw would keep the pair bunched in mid-table.
