Carlo Ancelotti has named Brazil's squad for March friendlies, handing places to Vasco academy products Andrey Santos and Rayan.
PaponaColina reports that the list marks the final practical tests before the definitive World Cup call-up for the tournament in the United States, Mexico and Canada. Brazil play France on 26 March in Boston, then Croatia on 31 March in Orlando.
Neymar was a notable omission. The calendar also includes Panama on 31 May at the Maracanã and Egypt on 6 June in Cleveland.
Rayan's inclusion follows his recent €35 million move from Vasco to Bournemouth, a deal worth roughly R$217 million. Ancelotti highlighted the forward's power, quality and attitude, and said the teenager has a future with the national team, though it is uncertain if he will reach the next World Cup, while his current displays merit this look.
He has two goals and one assist in seven games in England, having opened the year with a brace against Maricá.
Andrey Santos's call-up reflects an impressive spell at Chelsea. The midfielder has earned a key role and is trusted for ball-winning and transition, underlining a successful adaptation to the faster, more physical European game.
