Manchester United are all set to lose Casemiro once the current campaign concludes.

The Brazilian‘s contract ends in the summer, and United’s offer to renew fell short of the midfielder’s expectations. As a result, he announced that he would be leaving Old Trafford after four years.

Despite being 33 years old, there is no shortage of suitors for the former Real Madrid superstar, with Major League Soccer clubs in the lead.

There is also interest from his homeland, but, according to Sports Boom, the five-time Champions League winner could be about to reunite with former teammate and United legend Cristiano Ronaldo.

It is well known that Saudi pro League sides are on the hunt for the Brazil international, and they are among the few clubs who can offer the defensive midfielder monstrous wages.

“Cristiano Ronaldo could be reunited with former Manchester United and Real Madrid team mate Casemiro this summer, SportsBoom understands.

“Less than a week after revealing he will quit Old Trafford at the end of the season, the Brazilian midfield maestro is wanted by Ronaldo’s Saudi Arabia club, Al Nassr.

“Our sources have been told the Brazilian would have to take a drop in wages, thought to be worth £350,000 a week at Old Trafford, to remain in the Premier League.

Huge wages on offer

“But Casemiro, who is wanted by numerous suitors overseas, doesn’t want to hang up his boots. And he is encouraged by the longevity of Ronaldo still banging in the goals for club and Portugal at the age of 40.

“More importantly there is mega money to be made in Saudi where Ronaldo reputedly is on an eye-watering contract of £488,000 a day!”

But for now, Casemiro’s full focus is on trying to get United back to the Champions league.

Up next for Michael Carrick‘s side is a home game against Fulham, and after the stunning back-to-back wins, it is imperative that they do not let their momentum slip.
