The Brazilian Football Confederation announced the 2026 Copa do Brasil prize pool, with the champions able to bank around R$ 100 million if starting from round one. Corinthians would receive R$ 96 million for lifting the trophy.
The 38th edition grows to 126 clubs and 155 matches, up from 92 and 122, across nine phases. State federations receive 102 berths, up from 80, and Série A sides drop from three dates to one.
All Série A teams start in the fifth phase, lower-ranked clubs by the CBF ranking begin in round one, and Série B teams join in the next round. The final will be a single match for the first time, mirroring other international competitions.
From the fifth phase, participants earn R$ 2 million, rising to R$ 3 million in the last 16, R$ 4 million in the quarter-finals and R$ 9 million in the semi-finals. The runners-up receive R$ 34 million and the winners R$ 78 million, regardless of entry group.
The runner-up now also qualifies for the Copa Libertadores preliminaries, while the champions go straight to the group stage. Corinthians’ 2025 campaign yielded R$ 97,791,750, the highest payout in the competition’s history.
