Corinthians learn date and time for Guarani clash in Copinha second round

On the evening of this Saturday (10th), Corinthians learned the details – date and time – of the second phase of the 2026 São Paulo Cup. The Alvinegro will face Guarani at the Zezinho Magalhães Stadium in Jaú, São Paulo countryside, next Monday (12th) at 9:20 PM (Brasília time).

The biggest champion of the Copinha with 11 titles – the last one being in 2024 against Cruzeiro – and runner-up in 2025, the Sons of Terrão finished the first phase of the current edition leading Group 8 with seven points (two wins and one loss). XV de Jaú was the runner-up with six points.

In the first round, on the 3rd, Timãozinho defeated Trindade (Goiás) 1-0, with a goal from forward Luiz Fábio ‘Favela’. Three days later, a goalless draw with Luverdense led to the decision of the group qualifiers in the last round. Last Friday (9th), the Sons of Terrão defeated XV de Jaú 3-1, with goals from Guilherme Pires, Luiz Fábio ‘Favela’, and Luizinho, Luiz Fernando.

The Campinas team, on the other hand, based in Assis, was the runner-up of Group 7 with six points (two wins and one loss). The leader was Athletic Club, with seven points. In the first round, Guarani lost 1-0 precisely to the Minas Gerais team. However, they won the next two matches against Assisense and Naviraiense, with scores of 3-0 and 4-0, respectively.
