Corinthians players, Brazil’s president hail Brabas’ Brasileirão win

The Brabas of Corinthians made the most of a packed Neo Química Arena and maintained their dominance in women’s football. After the final whistle that sealed the victory, the squad was congratulated by several players from the Corinthians men’s team and even by President Lula – see below.

The congratulations included support from the main names of the men’s squad, such as Hugo Souza, Rodrigo Garro, Matheus Bidu, Matheuzinho, and Raniele. In addition to them, Ryan, Charles, and Angileri also posted messages on social media supporting the Brabas' title.

Besides the football players, the futsal idol Deives also congratulated the team on winning their seventh Women’s Brasileirão trophy. In addition to the trophy, Corinthians also enjoyed a morning with more than 41,000 people present at Neo Química Arena, earning the highest revenue in the history of the sport in Brazil.

After spending Sunday celebrating, the Corinthians women’s team is now focusing on the decisive match for the Women’s Copa do Brasil. The ball will roll this coming Wednesday, the 17th, at Estádio Alfredo Schürig, against Juventude. It’s a single-match knockout, so a win is necessary to advance.
