Corinthians ready to face Palmeiras in Supercopa Feminina final

This Friday (6th), Corinthians concluded their preparations at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava to face Palmeiras at Arena Barueri, this Saturday afternoon (7th), at 4pm (Brasília time), in the final of the Brazilian Women's Supercup. It’s worth noting that, as determined by the São Paulo Public Prosecutor's Office since mid-2016, only the Alviverde team's fans will be allowed at the match.

The Brabas come in as the current champions of the Brazilian Championship in the category, having won it for the seventh time in their history in 2025. Their rivals, meanwhile, were last year's Copa do Brasil winners, a tournament that returned to the women’s football calendar after nine years. The decision on home field for this final was made through a draw held by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).

In the last training session before the Derby, coach Lucas Piccinato led a tactical activity of approximately 60 minutes and also worked on set pieces. The last two finals between the two clubs do not bring good memories for the Brabas. That’s because, in the 2024 and 2025 Paulista Championships, they ended up as runners-up to their archrival.

However, despite that, Corinthians relies on their excellent track record in the competition. Since its first edition in 2022, the Brabas have won the tournament in three out of four editions. In the first year, they beat Grêmio 1-0. In 2023, they thrashed Flamengo 4-1. The following year, they overcame Cruzeiro by the minimum score. All three titles were won in Itaquera. In 2025, however, they finished as runners-up, losing to São Paulo on penalties at Morumbis after a goalless draw in regular time.

Unlike the first four editions, which were played in a knockout format starting from the quarterfinals, in 2026 the match will be a single game, that is, between the Brasileirão winners and the current Copa do Brasil champions. The Brabas, it’s worth remembering, are coming off a runner-up finish at the Copa das Campeãs in London, England, where they beat Gotham FC from the United States 1-0 in the semifinal, but were defeated in extra time by Arsenal, 3-2.

In addition to these two competitions, Corinthians Women will also compete this year in: Teal Rising Cup, Brazilian Championship, Copa do Brasil, and Conmebol Libertadores.
