Corinthians U12s win Zares Cup in Portugal, Fiel Porto show support

Last weekend, November 8 and 9, Corinthians' Under-12 team won the Zares Under-13 tournament in the city of São João da Madeira, a district of Aveiro, in Portugal. The "Filhos do Terrão" brought the trophy home by winning all seven matches (100% success rate), scoring fifty goals and conceding only one.

Timãozinho fielded an alternate team for the tournament, since the starters were about to play the second leg of the semifinals of the Paulista Championship for the category, against Mirassol. In the state championship, Alvinegro ended up qualifying for the final after winning both matches.

In the Zares Cup, the club from Parque São Jorge began its campaign in Group A, where they defeated Sporting-POR (1 x 0), GD São Roque (22 x 1), Braga (7 x 0), and Oliveirense (6 x 0). In the knockout stage, Corinthians beat Sanjoanense in the quarterfinals (5 x 0), 6 x 0 against Sporting in the semifinals, and, in the grand final, a 3 x 0 victory over Celta de Vigo from Spain.

Additionally, members of Fiel Porto, the organized Corinthians supporters group in Portugal, were present at all of Timãozinho's matches, supporting the team. Central do Timão received some photos from the stands, where Corinthians fans celebrated throughout the competition – Check them out below:
