Corinthians unveil new head of youth scouting for the boys' academy

On Thursday (29), Corinthians officially announced the arrival of Crisleison Santos as the Market Coordinator for the men's youth football division. As previously reported by Central do Timão, the professional has joined the club's Athlete Development Department and has already started his activities at the Youth Training Center.

Crisleison presented himself to Corinthians last Monday (26) and took over the coordination of the area responsible for scouting and monitoring talents for the youth categories of the club. The new coordinator joins Timão after extensive experience in international football.

Among the highlights of his resume, the professional worked at Manchester United between 2017 and 2025, during which he served as an international technical scout, responsible for monitoring players in the South American, Central American, and North American markets. Additionally, he also had a stint at Red Bull Brazil, where he held the position of head of scouting.

Already integrated into the club's routine, Crisleison highlighted the significance of taking on the role at Corinthians and emphasized the objectives of the work in the youth division.

“It is an honor to be at Corinthians. Every football professional dreams of wearing the jersey of this, one of the greatest clubs in the world. There is no difference in terms of tradition or responsibility when compared to major clubs abroad. I come with the goal of, with our scouts, detecting and bringing great players and developing them not only for Corinthians but also to serve the Brazilian national team. Thus, we will form a cycle that combines development and achievements, which is the Club's objective,” he stated.

Corinthians' football executive, Erasmo Damiani, also commented on the hiring and highlighted the strategic role of the scouting area in the club's planning.

“The arrival of Cris is part of the restructuring we are carrying out in the youth division. One of the main points is alignment with the professional department to ensure the processes are in line with the club. Scouting is a department we must pay the utmost attention to, as it is the entry point for future athletes at the club,” he said.
