Daniele De Rossi is increasingly close to taking over as Genoa’s manager.
According to La Repubblica, the former Roma coach, now free after terminating his contract with the Giallorossi, is heading to Genoa for a meeting with the club’s management.

The Ligurian club has had a difficult start to the season, marked by inconsistent results and, above all, the early end of Patrick Vieira’s tenure as manager.
For tomorrow’s match against Sassuolo, Domenico Criscito will temporarily take over.
However, De Rossi is the name at the top of the management’s shortlist for the immediate future.
Currently, the former Roma player appears to have a clear advantage over the other candidates.
Among the alternatives still being considered are Paolo Vanoli, coach of Venezia, and a foreigner, whose identity has not yet been revealed.
