Devine strikes as Preston climb into top four | OneFootball

Preston North End won 2-0 at Bristol City at Ashton Gate, rising from sixth to fourth in the Championship, as the hosts slipped from eighth to 10th.

Lewis Dobbin struck in the eighth minute, turning in Jordan Thompson's pass into the bottom right corner to set Preston on their way.

The Robins rallied before the break, with Sinclair Armstrong missing two presentable openings, and Daniel Iversen saving smartly from Adam Randell. After the restart, Alfie Devine doubled the advantage with a composed right footed finish to the centre of the net (70.).

Odeluga Offiah later departed injured, with Liam Lindsay introduced for Preston (78.).

City saw plenty of the ball, finishing with 63.8% possession and 12 attempts. Preston matched that shot count and produced a resolute display at the back, making 35 clearances.
