Ex AC Milan and Chelsea star Marcel Desailly believes Inter star Alessandro Bastoni has been consistent this season but isn’t half the player Paolo Maldini was.

Marcel Desailly argued that Alessandro Bastoni has been consistent this season which is why Inter Milan will win the Serie A.

However, the former Marseille star believes that Bastoni isn’t an international leader at the highest level.

Furthermore, Desailly argued that Bastoni is good at adapting himself to many systems as he has done at Inter and for Italy.

However, the former France star concluded that Bastoni has limitations and that his career is a testimony to that.

Desailly made these statements in an interview with SempreInter.com and The Italian Football Podcast, at an online event hosted by BetVictor Online Casino.

“I think he has been consistent. He’s been at Inter for like 7 seasons and doing well no matter who the coach is” Desailly began.

“I don’t think he’s a top leader international player. But as you said he is a player who knows how to adapt into the system. This is his limit.

“He has helped Inter to probably to win the league this season by his consistency. As well as understanding of how to read the game.

“But I think the limit is there, international level, this is it. They don’t play the same system.

“He managed to adapt himself again with Gattuso. He is on the left side, if you want to compare him to Maldini, he isn’t even half of Maldini.
