Marcel Schäfer, managing director for sport:

  1. “Dele is a huge talent and a perfect fit for our playing philosophy. He’s a quick, tricky and agile winger who is always looking to take players on. He also carries a real goal threat, likes to get shots away and can provide the decisive final ball. We’re bringing Dele in now to give him the time he needs to settle in, but also to add even more depth out wide. We’re really pleased that he’s chosen RB Leipzig so we can develop him step by step and help him fulfil his outstanding potential.”

Ayodele Thomas:

  1. “I’m really happy to now be a part of RB Leipzig. The club’s philosophy and playing style are a perfect fit for me and my goals. I want to use the first few weeks and months to learn from my teammates and the coaching staff, get to grips with how things are done here, and settle in as well as possible at the club and in the city of Leipzig.RBL have shown time and again that the club backs young players, develops them in the best possible way and helps them become better. I want to make the most of this opportunity, train hard, help the team and, in the future, show what I can do in the Bundesliga – one of the best leagues in the world. I’m ready and I want to give everything on the pitch. Thanks to everyone who made this move possible.”
