Chelsea, we have a problem.

Last season our striker options were Nicolas Jackson and Marc Guiu. In the same game that Jackson got injured, Guiu got injured too. Having just two senior strikers was a foolish move, and we ended up playing young winger Tyrique George up front for a long stretch until Jackson was back.

This summer, the club decided to address the situation by signing both Joao Pedro and Liam Delap. Now with 3 strikers on their books, they allowed Guiu to go on loan to Sunderland.

So far so good. But then the promise of big money made those in charge make a huge mistake – they loaned Nicolas Jackson to Bayern Munich, taking them back to 2 strikers. They had learned nothing from the season before.

The logic seems to be that it’s better to not use him at all if we can avoid it, meaning he can go out on loan again in January. If he plays for us, that is no longer possible.

We’re not sure how he feels – probably annoyed he was recalled, but at this rate hoping he doesn’t have to play so that he

How have we ended up in this situation again? It’s infuriating.
