Facundo Buonanotte ‘to leave’ Brighton as Schalke 04 approach amid Premier League and La Liga interest

Facundo Buonanotte is set to leave Brighton, with Schalke 04 making a formal approach and Premier League and La Liga clubs also interested, according to Fabrizio Romano in a post on X, who added that several teams are in talks to advance negotiations.

The Argentina-capped attacking midfielder, 21, joined Leeds on loan from Brighton in January for the rest of the season but played only 82 minutes across four outings.

He appeared from the bench in January’s Premier League fixtures against Everton and Arsenal.

His only start came in February’s FA Cup tie at Birmingham City, where he struggled and was withdrawn at half-time. His final Leeds appearance was a 12-minute cameo in the season finale at West Ham.

He then returned to Brighton, where he is under contract until the summer of 2028.
