Froholdt pulls strings as Porto stay top | OneFootball

Porto beat Moreirense 3-0 at the Estádio do Dragão to stay top of Liga Portugal, as the visitors slipped to eighth.

In the 14th minute Gabri Veiga steered a left-footed finish into the bottom left. Oskar Pietuszewski then doubled the lead from Victor Froholdt's counter-attacking cross (25.).

André Ferreira kept the score down with smart stops, denying Pietuszewski and Deniz Gül before the break. Diogo Costa was alert after the restart, saving twice from Alan as Moreirense rallied.

Substitute William sealed it with a rising finish after another Froholdt pass (81.). Pietuszewski had earlier gone off injured before the hour, prompting a reshuffle that Porto managed calmly.

Porto tallied 17 attempts, with nine on target. Moreirense mustered three efforts and struck the woodwork through Landerson after the interval. Porto also controlled 57.6% possession.
