A key personnel decision has already been made at FC Bayern Munich. Leon Goretzka’s departure next summer has been confirmed after a transfer this winter failed due to the player’s veto. At the same time, the Munich club are sounding out the market and have their eye on a top-class name from the Premier League.
According to Fichajes, FC Bayern Munich are focusing on Martin Ødegaard. The Arsenal FC captain is being closely monitored by Bayern, but there have been no concrete talks or an official offer to date. According to the report, the player is also currently examining possible scenarios for the future.
In sporting terms, the Norwegian remains a key figure at Arsenal. At the same time, the club finds itself in a financially sensitive area of tension. The Londoners invested heavily in the past summer transfer window and must balance their spending in the long term with a view to the Premier League ’s profit and sustainability rules. In this context, Arsenal are said to be open to very high offers in principle, although Ødegaard is still under contract until 2028.

In addition to FC Bayern, Inter Milan are also said to be keeping a close eye on the playmaker’s situation. A potential sale would give the Gunners financial leeway, but it would be a considerable blow in sporting terms. According to Fichajes, a transfer would only be considered for a transfer fee of at least £80 million.
Reports of internal tensions have added further fuel to the fire. According to information from Fichajes, there has recently been a clear rift between Ødegaard and head coach Mikel Arteta. The relationship between the player and coach is said to be heavily strained, further fuelling speculation of a departure.
In the current season, the 27-year-old has made 25 appearances, scoring one goal and making six assists. However, FC Bayern Munich ’s central midfield is clearly structured: Joshua Kimmich and Aleksandar Pavlovic are firmly established, while Tom Bischof is also pushing for more playing time. A Ødegaard transfer therefore seems rather unrealistic. Bayern were already interested in Ødegaard back in 2014, when he was still a 15-year-old prodigy, but a transfer did not materialise at the time.
