FLW's Sheffield Wednesday fan pundit has given his reaction to reports that Man City loanee Joel Ndala's loan deal at Hillsborough could be cancelled.
It is set to be a busy summer for Sheffield Wednesday as they prepare for life in League One, but there could potentially be one departure before the end of the campaign.
It has been a nightmare season for Wednesday, who are still in administration over five months on from Dejphon Chansiri's exit in October, and they suffered the earliest relegation in English football history when their fate was confirmed in late February.
The Owls picked up just their second point of 2026 as they drew 1-1 with Leicester City at Hillsborough on Easter Monday, but their winless run now stands at 36 league games, which matches the English record set by Derby County.
Wednesday supporters would have been pleased with their side's spirited performance against the Foxes, but much of the talk after the game was about the absence of Manchester City loanee Joel Ndala after the winger was left out of the matchday squad.
Ndala spent the first half of the season on loan at Hull City, where he scored two goals in 19 appearances before he departed the MKM Stadium in January to make a temporary move to Hillsborough, and he has featured eight times for the Owls so far.
Having been late for the home game against Millwall in February, Ndala again failed to turn up on time for the journey to Stoke City on Good Friday, and The Star claim that Wednesday are weighing up whether to terminate his loan deal early as his disciplinary issues continue.

When asked for his thoughts on Ndala's situation, FLW's Sheffield Wednesday fan pundit Patrick McKenna admitted he is disappointed by the 19-year-old's actions, and he claimed that terminating his loan deal could teach the winger a lesson at this stage of his career.
"In regard to Joel Ndala, I would totally back any decision by Henrik Pedersen and the club to terminate the contract if there have been disciplinary issues," Patrick told FLW.
"No matter who the player is, all players have to sign up to the same rules and show a basic level of respect and professionalism.
"If he is breaching these rules by turning up late, he's not the sort of player we need about the squad, especially not in this sort of season where everyone really has to pitch in and battle together.
"If he has this attitude issue where he thinks he can swan in at different times and the rules don't apply, he's not the sort of person you would want about the squad.
"Of course, it is frustrating.
"It's been difficult for us to get in any loans, we've had to fight to register them.
"If this is his attitude and he's not going to take it seriously, or he somehow think he's better because he's from a big club, I think he needs a reality check in that regard.
"On the pitch, I suppose he's shown a few flashes of what he could possibly do, but he hasn't totally set the world alight when he's been on.
"He's still quite raw, and I think, at this stage, unfortunately the one bit of play he's going to be remembered for is that catastrophic error at Bramall Lane where he gifted them the opening goal.
"I do hope for the lad that a termination here is a bit of a wake-up call to his career because he doesn't want to throw away something like that so easily."

Having shown glimpses of his ability during his loan at Hull earlier in the season, it looked as though Ndala was an exciting signing for Wednesday, but he has failed to make an impression at Hillsborough so far.
While cancelling Ndala's loan deal would be a big call by the Owls, manager Henrik Pedersen needs to demand high standards from his players, particularly after it was revealed that he is set to remain in charge next season if David Storch completes his proposed takeover of the club.
Some may argue that Ndala should be disciplined internally for his repeated lateness rather than sent back to his parent club, but the move would send a clear message from Pedersen about his expectations of his players as he prepares to lead Wednesday's rebuild in League One next season.
